For this version, Audemars Piguet opted for a case diameter of 41mm, a thickness of 9.5mm and an impressive water resistance of 20 meters. In many ways, ceramic is an ideal material for watches because it is lightweight and resistant to scratches and wear. And, if you really know what you’re doing, it can produce a wide range of shades. However, this material is uncommon for good reason. Producing a ceramic watch is challenging; it involves heating a zirconium oxide (ZrO2) powder and a few secret ingredients to extremely high temperatures, then molding it, and finishing this notoriously difficult material by hand.
In this case, the result is a stunning blue hand-finished by Le Brassus artisans, offering the same satin brushed and polished chamfers that create the signature Audemars Piguet Replica Watches shimmer. While it’s easy to be drawn to the vibrant blue case and bracelet, we can’t forget that this is a perpetual calendar after all. Audemars Piguet has made sure the dial is as impressive as the case, using a colour-matched PVD blue hue on its Grande Tapisserie dial, sub-dial and inner bezel.
Applied indexes and faceted hands are 18k white gold and filled with luminous material. Three calendar dials and moon phases provide symmetry on the dial and provide the wearer with hour, minute, day, date, day of the week, month, astronomical moon and leap year information. The movement has 38 jewels, a 40-hour power reserve and a 19.8 bph skeleton rotor.
